Question: Only ever heard one local singer do this one, but know it wasn't written by him. The lyrics include:
"I want to go huntin' with ya Jake, but I'm gonna chase some women,so put them hounds back in the pen & stop your silly grinnin'..." Seem to remember a line about a girl in 'red blue jeans'. Any ideas?

Yes ol okie the song was written by Stuart Hamblen who also recorded it. He also wrote and recorded "This Ole House" which went something like this "I ain't gonna need this house no longer, ain't gonna need this house no more, ain't got time to fix the shingles, ain't got time to fix the floor" When he wrote "I Won't Go Huntin With You Jake" he was just a songwriter and a good one but years later he became a minister and the song caused him some backlash because of the line "I'll go chasin women" He stayed in the minsterial field for years and no longer wrote those types of songs. This Ole House is in the gospel genre of songs. I think Jimmy Dean recorded both of those Stuart Hamblen songs many years after Stuart did. Great question by the way.
