Are real song artists/singers becoming a rarity - Does anyone "sang" a!
Question: with all these singing "gameshows," and the ease of the industry, it's all too saturated these days: saturated with bs.
it's like a bunch of used car salesmen, "buy! buy! buy!" this crap now.
what happend to the days of talent discovery, like a diamond in the ruff.

I agree with you. Now a days you don't have to be able to "sang" in order to have a successful music career. As long as you look good and can halfway dance, they can fix your voice up real nice at the studio (*coughs* Ashanti *coughs*).
It totally sucks.
They really are becoming a rarity, but yes, there are some real singers. I know of a few of them.
But I agree, there is too much lip-syncing. Its not everywhere, but there's a lot of it.
It's true that true singers are few and far between. There are far too many sub-standard singers in the music industry right now, but I will say that there are still sangers out. Anthony Hamilton is one of them he has true talent and sings from the heart.
I feel you. Thats J Holiday's argument too. Jennifer Hudson can "sang" though.
I am 51 and even though the body ages the spirit doesn't , trust me. I LOVE music! One singer fairly new that inspires me is Joss Stone. At times I hear a trace of Janis Joplin in her voice, and I have had chills listening to her voice. I would like to hear her sing more of a bluesy/honkytonk type album, I'd bet she would really be her best at that. It just seems like she has an old soul in such a young girls body. Any one agree?
