I write songs and sometimes you just have to write what you have on your mind there. If you have an idea about a dog, write a song about a dog or something. it doesn't have to work the first time, but after time you start learning how things fit together.
i write songs all the time and i perform them at mic night at my school start of with the title and then think wht did u pick it, who is it about? and thats how i get my songs
Noooo. I write stuff all the time...all you need is a good start. Just think of one good line...and a lot of times it starts to become easy to build off that. Like...for instance I'll try it right now...I'll make the first line "Now boy I'm out here on my own"

I guess it’s time I realize
You were only in this thing for you

But start erasing you from past

It's not amazing right now, but it's a start. Then I can build a story off that...and edit it...clean it up...could be not half bad. Even if you can come up with a title, or think of situation you would kinda want to write about...things like that work for me.
