When did the qualifications for being a singer change from having a great voice,!

Question: .....having the body of a model and being able to dance even though you can't sing a note?

I don't know, but I'm glad someone else has acknowledged this fact. I have found auditory bliss far away from the crap that radio and MTV plays for us, though. Hopefully you have, too. LaunchCast is really good for that. After all, MTV and radio are payed money to play certain songs. Then it all just becomes about which "artist" (to use the term loosely) has the most money behind them and thus it's shoved down our throats, and most people just don't question the crap being played for us. We're just expected to enjoy. Screw that! I'm glad you've seen the light.

(Can you tell you've hit a nerve? LOL)

It changed with the invention of the video clip and MTV.

Before that nobody cared what they looked like.

they never did.

the 80's.

it all sort of started wiv elvis he cud dance & sing because he did alot more live shows now they can alter a persons voice in a studio so no need 2 sing

Sadly, voices can be digitally filtered to the point of being almost 100% synthesized. Dancing in front of a live audience is harder to prove in front of a live audience. It's economics from a production standpoint.
