Question: Could anyone recommend me some bands for my taste? I'm pretty into older bands already. I'd be interested in some good newer bands/artists, and some older bands I may not have heard of. These are some of the bands I'm already pretty into:

Where is Pearl Jam? Foo fighters, Weezer, Tool. Rogue Wave, Cold Play, Pilate, A perfect circle, The Shins. For older taste, check out CCR, the doors, Rush, Reo Speed wagon, Neil Young. Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. If your down with the Motor City then you have to love Bob Segar.

We have some similar tastes (particularly in the Costello/McCartney direction, but also liking rock as well) - get on over to the "Later With Jools Holland" website, and click on the "Hootenanny" (the New Years' Eve broadcast), and while you're enjoying Paul's duet with Kylie Minogue and his performance of "Getting Better", check out The Kaiser Chiefs - never saw/heard/vaguely sensed them before (byproduct of being from the States), and they blew me away. They performed "Ruby", "Angry Mob", and "Everything is Average Nowadays." Haven't been able to get the songs out of my head all week.
