I am posting this question again. As far as Opera music is concerned..........?!
Question: when is it to late to start? I currently sing in the opera chorus now. I have been on and off in the opera chorus for like 8 years now. I am a thirty year old tenor, and I start grad school in the fall (possibly on a full scholarship). My current voice teacher told me that "I have a shot" because I am tenor, and they usually seem to be in demand. Also, I have had a few lead roles on the college level. Once again, is it to late to possibly sing opera in your early or mid thirties? Thanks

You're a little bit behind the curve, but it might not be too late.
(word to the wise -- voice teachers might not be the most unbiased people to ask about this...)
Most of the competitions have an upper age limit of 35 - so you have some time. Go for it.

Yes. This answer applies to anything. If you are good enough at it, then you can do it at any age.

Yup, too late. you'll have a shot if you're lucky, but unless you only want to do it as a hobby, you might start looking elsewhere.
