I want to create my own band or join one.?!
Question: I'm really good at singing, I can play the piano and the guitar and I'm dying to be part of a band. I live in Cyprus. The people I know are not interested. Is there anyone who wants to be in a band? If you are not from around here, please tell me a few tips on how to find band members. thx

A good way to find musicians is to do a search on MySpace.
You can search for bands, for exmple, that are located near you (Cyprus), contact the ones that you enjoy and start talking to them.
Chances are tht they either have friends that would be interested..
Another way would be to put up ads at local music shops..
I would simply place an ad in your local newspaper. You would be advertising that you're looking for people who are experienced playing instruments, and that you want to form a band real soon. You could even go to one of those karoke bars and perform, if they give you the permission. Maybe somebody would actually find your music terrific, and help you get started on your way to something that you love to do.Good luck.
Post flyers around any colleges or schools that are close to you. You can always find a bar to play in by yourself, if, like you said, your a good singer and can play. Just a few songs will get people interested and you can grow from there.
