How to get exposed in the singing "industry"!?!

Question: I'm 13 years old and I've always loved to sing. Even when i I was a very little girl, I would sing the theme song from the Titanic in front of my family. Ever since I was little, I knew that I wanted to sing. Two questions: What can I do to put myself out there, and what can help me get over stage fright (it's not major stage fright, but I definitely get nervous!)
thanks for your help!!

OK definitely if you have stage fright you wont be able to do anything. You have paparazzi hounding you. Interviews, and singing. People are going to criticize you most of the time. You need to start making speeches learn an instrument, and sing infront of people. Start dancing to. Once you are over stage fright. Make a CD with songs you made up and sing them put them on a bunch of CD's and distribute them to agents or producer. Make sure to write your name, Contact info and stuff about you. Then you make a website with song lyrics, a performance by you, and you singing, candid shots, and a lot of other stuff just start with that. Then you go to a magazine tell your story(act kinda full of yourself for confidence, look great for first impressions, show them pics of you, sing a live song)and then your secure. Tell them to contact you and thanks for your time and walk out. Not a glance back and dont wait for them to answer you then so they cant hesitate. Start doing gigs anywhere and slowly make fans. Then you can get a record contract and work up from there.

I don't know what to do to get you over stage fright. But to get yourself noticed take videos of you singing and put them on youtube and myspace. Aso tell your friends to put videos of you on there myspace too.

First of all to get over your stage fright, start by doing local talent shows at your school, just the music club at your school, participate in as many chorus classes, church singing functions, local talent shows, because if you can do alot of the local things and win over the crowd there, it will give you more confidence to venture out to other areas of singing competitions and recording in a professional studio. good luck!

the same as the rest told you, but also, take vocal lessons too, to make sure you're ready... and once you think you're ready, find a way to make a demo CD, and send it in. A few company's are accepting demo CD's, like Fueld BY Ramen is I think... Good luck!!

YES TAKE singing lessons and be ready. good luck
