Why does my voice crack when i sing?!

Question: when i sing, especailly in the morning, my voice is very annoying because it always cracks. i try to sing, and then it just breaks into this "unn.." sound, not sure if you understand?

no matter what warms ups i do, it still cracks. and then i get so frustrated that I just scream and scream and yell. then it cracks even more. do i just have a bad voice?

Usually the voice cracking is due to your voice being "cold". It helps if you warm your voice up by using more air on easier music or singing more softly until it gets easier to sing. Warming your voice is not instantaneous, sometimes it takes me 45 minutes to make my voice fully warm.
Sometimes when i work with guys, their voices crack on notes that they're not used to singing, or if the song is out of their range.
Also if you scream and yell, it puts even more strain on your voice than when you're singing. I'm not sure what style you're singing, but I would suggest singing something like a ballad that is in the middle of your range to decide if your voice is "bad" like you might think. Your voice shouldn't crack if the song is in a comfortable range for you and you don't oversing it.

puberty

straining your voice to much and screaming really isnt going to help your case..... try gettin lessons if your that concerned

How old are you?

cuz ur on crack isn't it obvious

Stop singing. Or try out for the next American Idol and let Simon Cowell tell you to stop singing.

you might be getting sick, or puberty. it's probably just a phase; it'll pass!

have u seen happy feet? does it sound that bad?

Well, depending on your age it could be puberty kicking in. I'm not sure but maybe. I think you have one of those voices that just doesn't have good range. Drink fluids to help!

Well first of all, don't scream and yell when you sing- it hurts your voice permenantly in the long run. Try drinking hot tea with honey- it soothes your throat. Avoid milk and soda- they coat your throat and make it crack more. Make sure you're hydrated. Hope this helps!

Its Pubrety. Boys voices crack when they get older. So don't worry you will still sing just probably not as well right now.

Well you might just suck at singing (no offense meant) or maybe... your just growing and going through puberty. Guys voices always do. My brother always cracks me up when he makes weird sounds when talking/singing. haha Maybe in the morning since you just woke up, your voice is dry and you need to drink some water. Either way, keep singing man! Singing Rocks!!!

no, I think that this bad voice of yours is so bad that it ghas resulted into a complex combination of notes and timbres and such that you are so bad you are good or not yes mabye no never okay not told her no but ghen yes and...

your voice just might not be ready or practiced enough to reach really high. it's not that ur a bad singer u just need some time and practice that's all. and it's all good :D same thing happens to me but i'm working on that now....

you blow, ha.. ha.. just kidding. voice probably changing, give it some time. when I was in eighth grade I could sing higher than all the girls, by the time I got out of high school, I had already sang at the St. Louis symphony, I sing baritone-bass

ok. it makes sence that it would crack in the morning. singing in the AM is really hard. dont. look up Eric Arcenaux (spelling?) on youtube. he might help you. and never scream. it never helps. it just strains you. it doesnt nessesarily mean you have a bad voice

Listen, You don't nessarily have a bad voice.
In the morning your vocal cords are not as they should be, meaning in the morning the are still sleeping.
It sound odd but singing has soon as you get up isn't goodfor your vocal cords b.c they were resting all night and now when you get up you are trying to sing right away and your straining yourself.
What you have to do is in the morning give you vocal cords a little rest and if you really feel the need to sing drink a glass of water right before you start. I hope this helps.

get a life!
