What's the latest word on Metallica's new album?!
Question: It was supposed to be released in 2007 as a follow up to St. Anger, only good this time, but it got pushed back because they wanted to take their time with this one and get it right. I then heard February 2008. Well, obviously February 2008 is not only come, but gone, so what's the word now?

i heard they pushed it back till september/november, i guess i'm glad they arent trying to rush but its been 5 years since st anger, its time

They start recording on March 12th.
In January 2008, a rumor was started by a statement made by Stereowarning.com that the album would be delayed until September of 2008, but was quickly denied by Metallica's management since an album without a defined release date can not be "delayed". It's possible that it will be released sooner (Early/Late Spring), due to Metallica scheduling concerts in June, for a new European tour.

They pushed it back... I'm skeptical that it will be any good though.
I heard that they pushed the release to later in the year.
I heard a demo of it, I heard Hetfeild singing like dave mustaine from megadeth, I couldnt listen any longer.
