What do you call these? Music beat line things?!

Question: You know those boxes or lines that go up and down with the beat of your music on your computer. If you don't know what I'm talking about open up iTunes play a song and click the little grey arrow in the left of the beige box at the top. I'm asking because I want to paint a line of them above my bed and I want to know what they are actually called.

Its called an equalizer. the lines inside are called ''line frequency''. Low freq. high freq. medium freq. and all the others in between. they represent all the bass and all the treble components.

bass movements, i think, sorry if i am wrong

i believe it is called a Tempo box.
it shows the pitch of voice, bass, treble.. etc.

Good question! I never thought about that before.

Well, I looked it up, and it is called a "graphic equalizer panel."

Or just "equalizer."

Ive heard it called a frequency spectrum. But I think im gonna have to agree with maya2008.
