First off, don't let anyone tell you whats what. You decide what you like and stick to it. People putting labels on labels, isnt helping anyone or anything. Subgenres are just breaking down what we already know. If you like the bands you listed then check these bands out...... Born of Osiris, Arsonist Get All The Girls, Within Temptation, HellYeah, Dimmu Borgir, Black Dahlia Murder, Devil Wears Prada, Heaven Shall Burn, Inked In Blood, Darkest Hour, Horse the Band, Himsa, Napalm Death, Cattle Decapitation, and there are so many more good bands out there. Just remember, don't let people tell you whats what, Like any band, any genre, From DEATH to UNDEROATH, Because you like it!!!! Not cause someone else told you too!! Peace, And Keep Rawkin'!!!
They all play a different style of metal, but I would tell you to check out: Mastodon, The Absence, Between the Buried & Me, Death (classic death metal), Arch Enemy, Darkshift.

First of all, you should not take their advices, most of them were naming nu metal bands, which is also known as shitty music. Real metalheads were disgusted with glam metal, but let me tell you that they're even more disgusted with nu metal, nu metal is so similar to rap and hip hop, the only difference is they use guitar, bass and drums, and the first two instruments are not used that much and they use turntables, oh!!! its rap!! lets dance!!! If you want good metal bands listen to Iron Maiden, Metallica, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath and some other classic heavy metal bands, the classier they are is more pure. There are a lot of good heavy metal bands, just try to search some of them, want an advice? search your favorite artists and look for their influences, they are better than your bands. Also if you like real heavy metal, you will also like hard rock.
