Yes they all have similar qualities. I think one has to look at the time line of these bands though to understand that in this case Joy Division probably influenced those qualities in Interpol and The Editors. I believe both bands have been quoted as being fans of JD. Interpol and The Editors are but two of a handful of bands that seem to be part of a revival of the Manchester Post-punk sound.
They all seem to be on the 'grown up' side of indie rock. Many of their songs are similar aswell, especially the longer, ballady type songs.

That's a good question. I'm not too familiar with their music but i HAVE,however, heard them referenced together on a regular basis, for example, many people who like joy division also like interpol. i saw the editors a few years ago--they're definitely in a similar genre
yea, their definetly very similar, but joy division is much more darker than interpool. i guess cause of the deep depression of their lead singer.
