well, by teaching him a lesson, he will learn not to do it again. therefore, saving trouble for his next girl. and if he does, she has made sure that it sure as hell won't be on her, because she won't be there.
When someone cheats on you, you sometimes want to know what girl he cheated on you with. So Carrie was saying, that the girl will know that the the other girl he is with is not carrie.
because he's letting the man know that women find things out ... so he should remember that the next time before he thinks about cheating ... that his ex girlfriend knew and that she messed up his car.... and she's definitely not gonna go back to him.
Well, best I can figure, the girl that he cheats on next won't have to damage his pick-up, Carrie already took care of that! So that's how she might have helped her. Either:
A) Teach him a lesson
B) Girl figures out he's a cheater, leaves
C) Damage already done to car

as stupid as it is,....i think it means the trouble saved on the next girl is the trouble that the girl who was cheated on* would have caused to the next girl who he would cheat on her with
in other words, he learned his lesson and would not want to cheat again because he would be afraid of the trouble the girl he cheated on would cause. ex: kicking the girls ***

I think what she is saying that hopefully she is saving the next girl from being cheated on at all. That hopefully he will think twice before he ever cheats again.
She is also saying she is done with the relationship so if he ever does cheat again it won't be on her.
