R&P Poll : Download or CDs ?!

Question: Which one do you more commonly buy ?

Answers: Which one do you more commonly buy ?

Downloading is so impersonal.I'd rather have the CD with pictures and liner notes

CDs

buy? that's a good one

I think CDs.. My grandpa never let me to download..

I usually just buy songs from iTunes.but if I really like the band/singer then I buy their c.d's

I have never paid money for a music download, but I do download a good deal more than I can afford to buy (and I buy a lot of CDs).

Still buying used cds.

CDs, I want the physical album, but the little booklet and the coverart.
And I personally think the quality of the song sounds much better than on MP3 format.

I have recently become a convert of downloads. I am simply running out of CD rack space, I honestly don't pull them off the shelf to read the liner notes or admire the artwork, and I rip every CD I have into MP3 format anyway, and listen to music from my PC. I have no reason to buy CDs anymore.

In fact, I've gotten to the point where, if an artist doesn't offer their music for sale in MP3 format (which I prefer), I will skip buying it altogether, no matter how big of a fan of that artist I might be.

Download, unless it's something that's out of print, then it's off to ebay or thrift stores for a vinyl copy, then I transfer it to digital.

It depends, if it's my favourite band Aiden then i always buy the cd's because i want the artwork but if it's any other band then i usually download them as it's much easier
xxxxxxx

I still buy a lot of CDs, but I do purchase a lot of 'one song only' downloads {mostly old songs}, or older albums which are cheaper to download...

I tend to buy my CDs from Amazon, and if I don't mind waiting an extra 2 weeks, it's cheaper to import them from the US. But, if I want a lot of an artist / bands back-catelogue, it often works out cheaper to download it from MSN Music...

I usually just download. Before I got my iPod, I had over 400 Cd's, on top of like 2000 songs on my PC. But after I bought my 30GB iPod, i just put all my music on there and I haven't touched my Cd's since.

Download unless it's anything by Brand New, Taking Back Sunday, or Blink 182.

CD's I always prefer having an original copy, if you download it on your computer it might crash and you can lose everything.

I rarely download anything off the internet. I like to have a hard copy of anything I buy.

CDs. It's much easier more me and I get so much more joy out of holding one then staring at the download on the computer.

CDs if I know I like the band. If I just want to figure out who the band is and if I like them, then I download just a song.

I use iTunes more often (I guess that would be considered downloading).
