go into local music shops. i saw your question earlier, but asking random people on Yanswers isn't going to work. so find a music store. like guitarcenter for example. go in and ask someone there if they know of anyone who would be interested in sponsoring a young band. they can help. some of my friends did that and they are partly sponsored by some saller local businesses around my town.

Make a music profile on myspace and just try to get your name out there.
Every band starts small. You could try having a "concert" with people from your school and stuff, ask them to invite their friends too.
