I love NIN. I have been really down on this lately because of the last 2 efforts, With Teeth and Year Zero. ( Although I own them)
I am with Gorgon ( a little jealous too 13 times!!!!) Something I Can Never Have is one of my favorites, Piggy is another. Head Like Hole gets my blood flowing.
I can tolerate them...the Downward Spiral album was their pinnacle

Me! I love NIN. I like Sin, Wish, Reptile, We're in this Together Now, Only and I'm not sure which one Iike the best off the new album yet. NIN and David Bowie together was the best concet I have ever been to!
I was a professional record reviewer in the late 1980s when the first Nine Inch Nails album came out. The song that struck me the most was Head Like A Hole.
It struck me as being on the cutting edge of a new trend: darkness. Mysterious darkness. Anger. I remarked in my review on how angry the lyrics were, and how dark it all was.
Truly, dark, angry music became a lasting trend, even to this day in 2008. A lot of bands go out of their way to appear dark and angry!

I love them, I've seen them in concert 13 times. My favorite song - "Something I Can Never Have".
Hurt is probably the most heartbreaking, depressing song i have ever heard.
I put it on repeat.

BTW, my pick for favorite NIN song would be "Wish" (particularly the "Fixed" remix)

yes i am a fan. i actually thought With Teeth was a pretty solid record although most of the bigger fans would disagree (and i understand why). Year Zero was pretty much a waste though....my favorite song? Mr. Self Destruct.
