Most likely because he was never really a mainstream artist!. I mean how many people really listen to him outside of Cali!? Short and Ice-T started the whole pimp thing which everybody has leeched onto and destroyed just like gangsta rap!. Short had a very unique style he never spoke about guns and gangs like others but he stayed well respected within the West Coast hip hop scene!. Just like IMO Schoolly D started Gangsta Rap in general, they never get credited with it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I agree that he's very underrated!. But there's other aspects to a top rapper (e!.g!. influence and legacy)!. Plus I personally don't think he has brought out a classic album, 'Life Is!.!.!. Too Short' is the closest he'll get but that isn't one!. Plus he did majorly fall off after doing songs with people like Lil' John!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
cause "greatest" and "rapper" don't ever belong in the same sentence!. Maybe choose words like "selfish", "self-centered", "egotistical", "male chauvinist", etc!. and you will probably get the results you are looking for!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
