Question: Im wanting to make a customised t-shirt, and put lyrics on it!.!.!.!. copyright implications!?
i want to buy a plain t-shirt or jacket, and put music lyrics onto it!. i was wondering about the copyright side of that though!.!.!. who would i have to ask about it, and wat if the band's split up!? somebody please give me some advice here lol! thankyou!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Hi!.!.!.it depends on what you plan on doing with the shirt!. If you just plan on making a cute shirt with some lyrics on it then it shouldn't be a problem to use it without speaking to anyone or copyright issues!. Now if you plan on selling them, then you would have to get permission of some sort either from the band, record label, manager or someone like that!. Hope this helps, good luck!Www@Enter-QA@Com
If you're just looking to create something original and fun to wear for your own use, I don't really see that this would be a problem!.
Musicians and record companies only care if someone is making money off of their "product" without giving them a cut!. If you would be looking to sell the clothes, you need to contact the record company to work out the royalties!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

If you took an actual bands lyrics and put it on a shirt and sold the shirts, you'd have to talk to the record label which owns the song!.
