Answers:
The saxophone wasn't invented until long after Mozart died!. The sax was invented in 1842!.
Shortly after it's invention there was a brief flurry of classical sax music and then reality sunk in!. There's quite a bit of solo and chamber music but very little orchestra music!.
The biggest reason the Sax hasn't been used more often in classical music is economic!. most orchestra's didn't want to pay the salary of another 4 musicians to have a full sax section!. This is the same reason that today instruments like bass clarinet, english horn are auxiliaries and not standard orchestral instruments!.
It has nothing to do with the sound of the instrument (Aaron Copland, Hindemith as well as many French romantics and impressionists were fond of the instrument and wanted to use it more in orchestra pieces, but early in their careers orchestras wouldn't hire extra personnel for a then unknown composer!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

No, not in Mozart, because the saxophone wasn't around at the time!.
The saxophone is used in Ravel's Bolero, in Ravel's orchestration of Pictures in an Exhibition, and in Puccini's Turandot!.
When I was a university student, we played a concerto for four saxophones, but I have forgotten the composer's name!.
Here is a good Website on the history of the saxophone:

As they already told you, only in 20th century music after the instrument was invented!. There are plenty of sax solos in Prokofiev's music!. But bear in mind the technique is not the same you're used to hear in jazz and pop music!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
If by classical music you mean the works of a certain era performed by a symphony orchestra, the answer is absolutely no!. Adolphe Sax devised the saxophone, the instrument for which he is remembered, around 1840- after the lifetimes of the Baroque, Classical, and early Romantic eras!. Many devotees of classical music declare the saxophone a "bastard" instrument since Sax borrowed design features from clarinets and oboes for an instrument invented for military bands (saxophones are louder than clarinets; thus the regiment could carry a smaller complement of woodwinds)!.
There are more modern works written for the instrument (Prokofiev's "Lieutenant Kije Suite", Ravel's "Bolero", and the orchestral rendering of Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue" include saxophone[s] in the score- the first two as a featured instrument), and many works, earlier and modern, have been adapted to various saxophone ensembles (trios, quartets, and even larger groups)!. As a result, classical saxophone pedagogy is at this point very evolved (not exactly my cup of tea, but I respect the technique and have even begun to play a bit on a metal C** on my tenor- a long shank mouthpiece that yields a dark, even sound)!. Try a Yahoo search for classical saxophone; I'm sure the results will be many and varied!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

The Saxophone came up in the more modern times, like 20th century orchestral music!. No, they weren't used in classical music (1750-1800's i think)!. Trumpets were, and trombones were added by Beethoven I believe, just an additional fact!. :DWww@Enter-QA@Com
