Question: Can you help point me in the right direction!? i'm looking for a possible career in music!?
i'm interested in songwriting!. and maybe like a producer or something!. the styles of genre i listen to are NOT limited!.!.!.i listen to almost everything!. some people including my friends sometimes make fun of me for the songs i listen too i am one of the people that really appreciate the song and its meaning!.!.mainly the lyrics and the altogether feel of the song!.

James: perhaps you need to narrow down your interest first of all!. Any one of those careers you mention could probably be considered a full time endeavor!. Many times, a songwriter will become a producer after he or she has acheived a successful songwriting career, and many times a producer is also a songwriter!. I suggest you go to your local library and read up on it!. "Breaking Into the Music Business" By Allen Siegel might be one place to start!. You might also ask any of your friends who already is into some aspect of music how they did it!.
