Question: Classical music lovers! I need help finding a Jean Sibelius recording!!?
Hey guys, I myself really love classical music, especially all the works of Finnish composer Jean Sibelius!.
I heard on my local radio station a long time ago a recording of Sibelius conducting (for the last time) his own work 'Andante Festivo' for string orchestra!. The recording is of a live broadcast of the Finnish Radio Symphony from January 1st, 1939!. It obviously isn't of the quality of recordings we have today, but this is one gem I'd really like to have!. I know my local radio station had to have a recording of it to play, so there has to be one out there!. I just um, torrented, a huge collection of his works, but to my surprise, it wasn't included :(
I've searched long and hard for it on the internet, but I can't find it!. Do any of you classical music lovers know where I might find a recording this particular performance!? Either a website with a download or a link to page about a CD with this performance on it would be g greatly appreciated!.

Sibelius, a towering composer of the late 19th Century, was granted a sinecure for his patriotic music!. Because he was thus financially independant, rather than insincerely change his Romantic outlook, he ceased to compose whilst quite young!. For that reason, perhaps, he has tended to be sidelined!. Edward Elgar, a British gentleman, has suffered a similar fate for the same reasons!.
My only suggestion would be for you to contact this Radio Station!. They possibly played a reel to reel tape recording of this performance, though!. A copy may never come to light, but, on the other hand, your next door neighbour might have 6 copies!Www@Enter-QA@Com
