It depends on what kind of music you want to play metal or alternative or punk!?!?!?!?
From my past experience of being in a band and playing at a talent show, I would try and go for something that is similiar to the style of music you won't to play AND is something not to well known because the last thing you want is for people to think you suck because you sounded nothing like the original!. Like for example avoid playing songs like Enter Sandman, Back In Black, Smells Like Teen Spirit, Stairway To Heaven, Californication, Sweet Child O' Mine, YOU KNOW CLASSICS!. Bc people who know the song will think you suck regardless of how good you actually were because they will think you sound nothing like the original and thats of course always preferred!.!.!.
What I've Done is a decent song but its fairly recent and unless your bands singer can sound EXACTLY like Chester Bennington, I would suggest you not do that because he or she will get laughed off the stage, people think a band sucks if they play a song that the majority of the audience already knows and they sound nothing like the original (trust me I know!.!.!.)
IF you want to play a Linkin Park song I suggest something older that not alot of people know but is also very catchy the first time you hear it, like One Step Closer or Crawling or Papercuts or something!.!.!.
EDIT: okay I just listened to that "NO MORE SORROW" song for the first time, and I'm going to say HELLLLLLLLLLL NO, do not play that!. That was the first time I ever heard that song and I must say it sounded pretty weak, it must be one of those songs you have to hear like a couple times in order to like!. Those KINDS OF SONGS ARE NEVER GOOD FOR BATTLE OF THE BANDS, you need something loud, attention getting, something the audience will enjoy hearing and can get into:

Well, first off, ignore all the haters!. In many cases they're correct, but it's irrelevant and confusing!. It depends really on your bands style!. I think that "No More Sorrow" is a much more powerful song, and I would go with that!. However, it really depends on your main style of music!.
