lol yeah, i think its just about living life and being free and happy, it says "Life is hard you know, so strike a pose on a Cadillac" its just like forget about all the crap in life that makes you tired its not important and just let loose, kinda like "girls just wanna have fun" idk where the Egyptian thing came from, but i love Susanna's eyes in the video very approriate, and HOT! maybe their inspiration actually did come from the Egyptians, in the begginning of the song, they say "All the old paitings on the tumb they do the sand dance" maybe they saw it and thought is was a fun spontanious little splash of color in history, who knows!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Actually, I think they were inspired Steve Martin's - King Tut back '79!.
http://www!.youtube!.com/watch!?v=pP7AJiQM2!.!.!.
It almost instantly became a hit!. Plus about the same time that these people released their songs, I believe that the (actual) Treasures of King Tutankhamun went on tour in North America adding to the hype of their songs!. Crowd attendance numbers for the King Tut display were phenomemal!. I know the Bangles released their song in the 80's but the King Tut Treasures tour had many stops!. In fact, it's STILL touring North America!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Maybe they visited Egypt and were inspired!.!.!.!?

But why do you think they would get locked up nowadays!? I think it would be just as loved now! Well, except for that 80s sound, but you know!.!. :PWww@Enter-QA@Com

The Bangles didn't write the song, it was written by a guy named Liam Sternberg!. Their producer offered the song to them and they agreed to record it!. Good move!Www@Enter-QA@Com

haha i agree!.!. Im sure they wrote it though lolWww@Enter-QA@Com
