All there is now is synth pop and "artists" who don't even play their own instruments!. Why has it come to this!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

I ask that question to my self every day!. and the only reason I can come to is because of technology doing everything for people!. It used to be that you had to really have talent or atleast some serious stage presence to be considered good but there "artists" today rely mostly on computer effects to make them sound good!. (if good would be the word for it)
That and people have less of a message in their music!. its more about their exs and cars or somehting!. while old music had something to say!.

The technology to do it is way more accessible!. Because of the increasing ease of use of these programs, more and more people are able to get into it!. I'm actually one of them, but I don't do synth pop at all!. It just seems that that genre is the easiest to do, since it is all loop based - you know, like it uses the same beat over and over, and the same melody over and over!. also, I don't think you'd necessarily have to play an instrument to be considered an "artist!." I began composing music on the computer, writing in a variety of styles, and then finally, a few years later, learned to play the piano!. Still, I may be the one standing out of a crowd of too many who choose the simple, and admittedly effective way out!.
The same can be said for the quality of some Youtube videos!. It's just that it's so accessible that anyone can put in whatever they want, even if its crap!. Have a camera and an internet connection!? Poof, done!. Have a music program and a mouse!? Poof, done!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

if you think that the "classics" (floyd, zep etc!.) were ever mainstream, or heard on daytime radio, you're sadly misinformed!.
the beatles spent years playing to hordes of screaming pantie-wetting adolescents, before they came over all mystical!.
poular music always has, and always will be, about the numbers!.
just look at the singles charts for any given year, and notice how much dross the unimaginative record-buying sheep have always consumed!.
so, to correct your misconception, music has not gone to crap; you just have to look for it, read about it, talk to your mates, go to the cd shop (if there's any left) - same as it ever was!.

my theory is that it is all about money now and they don't have the right influences!.it's all about garbage music being recycled since about the 1980's of course there were other good bands but alotta crap!.blues music that once influenced talented music greats (srv,hendrix,clapton,page,need i go on!?) are dead and not forgotten god bless them but not utilized by current musicians not to say all of them haven't heard of some of these blues musicians but many haven't!.so basically music is like a tree if you don't have strong roots it won't stand the test of time it will sway in the wind and it will fall!.take for example early clapton when he was with cream !.he was influenced by bb king,robert johnson and many others it gave him playing dynamics he was able to keep the blues influence and make it more dynamic and fluent while still respecting the artists he was influenced by!.
