Can you honestly say that the R&B/Rap music that gets played on the radio is eve!

Question: Can you honestly say that the R&B/Rap music that gets played on the radio is even worth listening to nowadays!?
Up until the ending of the year 2006, The R&B/Rap era has declined drastically because there is no more competition!. Up until 2006 the radio stations would be overflooded with reeeeeeally good music!. I'm talking beats, rhymes, rythm, melodies so on and so forth!. Now everything on the radio is just boring!. Thsi is the absolute first time in my life that I've actually got in my car and drove to my destinations without playing the radio!. And if I do play the radio, I'm always popping in a cd or I'll turn to the oldie station!. Don't get me wrong, theres been a couple of good jams on the radio between the time frame of 2007 and now, but if we were living in 2006 and someone was to ask me who was my favorite artists and songs of 2004-2005, my list would have went on forever!. I can name maybe three or more songs of 2008 that I really enjoyed if I think long and hard enough:

1!. "Honey" by Erykah Badu
2!. "International Players by UGK feat Outkast
3!. "Shoulda let you go" Keysha Cole
4!."lolli pop" and "Illin" by Lil wayne
5!. "All around the world" by some dude feat Lil Wayne!.

Now thats just sad!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It has been on a decline for far longer than that!. Right now the industry is only concerned with "flavor of the week" artists as they are easy cash cows with low investment risks!. It happens with all forms of music, but it will eventually come around!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

yuez may not think its your style but other ppl like it!. The era is not dead it is just changing as all music does!. but that song honey is sort of lame lolzWww@Enter-QA@Com

Hip Hop today always is about money, money, money, gold chains, nice clothes, money, and money

I prefer the underground rap stuffWww@Enter-QA@Com

how can you say the music is declining and then name "Lollipop" as a song you really enjoyed!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

i cant stand it, personallyWww@Enter-QA@Com

Then go listen to rock, or just listen to older rap songs if you cant stand the new ones!. Problem solved!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

it's not dead,, it's just not on the radio,, you have to look for it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

it's a sign your getting oldWww@Enter-QA@Com

No it's not, there are other rappers who are keeping R&HH alive, plus Eminem will be back, and he will revive rap music!. Plus, he is only one of the few good mainstream artists!.

Well, you haven't opened your eyes yet, listen to real rap music then what you hear on the radio, or what all your friends like!.
I've been a Rap fan since I was 5 years old, and I can tell you that even though some rap music is shi!.tty right now, Rap music is still alive, and it will always be, until the end of time :P

Yeah but you know what's funny, is that all the rap songs you put up there have something to do with pop!. It like blended in with pop!. and I don't believe in God, My religion is Shamanism, and I most rap music I listen to is about life!. Most Rap songs on my iPod barely have a blend of pop in it!. The pop/rap blended songs are probably R&B-ish love songs, and then there goes Tupac, Eminem, Nas, and Ludacris!. and about Underground music, that is also helping rap music stay alive, Rap is not just about America, there are many other countries that have rap music, such as Canada, South Korea, UK, Japan, etc!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Hip-hop music will never "die out"!. I don't know what your definition of hip-hop is, but the truth is that hip-hop changes, trends come and go and hip-hop isn't always going to sound the same!. That's what a lot of people don't understand!.

The radio isn't always the greatest place for "new music"!. Songs are leaked to the internet long before the song's initial release!. For example, the song "A Milli" by Lil Wayne started poppin' up online around last February but it just hit it's peak popularity a few months ago!.

So, my advice to you is, if you want "new" music, look around the net!. Sites like www!.hotnewhiphop!.com, www!.hear-it-first!.net and www!.mixtapetorrent!.com have music way before the radio or MTV gets it!.
