How hard is it to be a musician?!
Question: How hard is it to be a musician!?
I am 14 and am just curious how hard it is to becomew like a top one like the jonas brothers, or any young bands, because I was thinking I would want to be something like that except id be solo!. So if anyone could answer on how to start out it would be appreciated!. If it helps I was a really good singer when I was 7 ( I was told) but sort of gave up on it until now!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It is VERY hard!. I'm no musician, but from what i've heard, it's a very hard career to pursue!. Before you even think about being famous, work on your voice a little more!. Strengthen it and practice a lot!. You'll have to learn how to read sheet music, and it will definitely help if you learnt the piano, or the acoustic guitar!. These instruments will make it so much easier to write and play songs!. They're also very practical instruments [you cant really write a proper song playing the drums or something]!.
If you dont know where to go from there, talk to your parents about it!. Maybe you'd like to join with your Church band if you go to Church!. Talk to a family friend or someone who's into music!.
By the way, I agree with you - The Jonas Brothers ARE really good musicians!. Nicholas Jonas first went on Broadway!. Their Dad is also into music, and he is a Pastor!. I'm assuming Nick, Joe and Kevin played music for their Church, too!. Nick had his very own album, but it didnt get released!. I think it was because he made it around the same time as the whole bands fist album, aand his own album was really about God and it could've jeapordized their Jonas Brothers album because their whole bands album isnt based on Christian music at all!. The first album didnt really go anywhere and ddint sell much, so they started their own little gigs everywhere!. Then they god positive feedback from the people at the gigs, and eventually switched record companies [from Columbia records to Hollywood records] and signed a deal with Disney!. Now theyre super famous! I dont knw if thats exactlyhow everything went, but thats what i've heard of!.

While I don't think the Jonas Brothers suck (they at least play REAL music unlike everyone else who starts with Disney) they are not great musicians!. They are severely lacking in the melody, emotion, and complexity departments!. It is not hard to be a musician like them, however if you want to be a great musician it takes A LOT of dedication!. It is one of the hardest things to try to become a unique and good musician!. I have been playing the guitar for around 9 years
(i am about 19)!. You would want to start with a cheap, but not crappy instrument!. Then get an intermediate one, followed by a great one!. Lessons for the basics are good, but anything past that, and you will not develop a unique style most likely!. Musical theory is great help!. You also should learn every type of play style for that instrument!. For guitar that would be funk, rock, blues, jazz etc!. Don't spend a lot of time playing other peoples music!. You will also want to be a good writer, composer, and be in touch with your emotions in order to write good songs!. It takes much more hard work than most people who are considered "good" musicians put into it if you want to be one of the best, but it is attainable!.

well in my opinion (my opinion im not suggesting anything) the jonas brothers suck they completely take the meaning of music and make it look bad!. music isnt suppose to be about being rich and having fame its about really putting yourself into the music!. if you just want fame!. whats the ******* point!?its about playing from your heart!. not because you want to to a star or have fame!. music is art!. but the jonas bros!. are destroying it Www@Enter-QA@Com
