My friends says that heavy metal is a version of metal,but my father say no there is no kind of music called metal,there is nu metal and death and heavy metal,who is right!?my friends or my father!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

"Metal" is an umbrella term for all the sub-genres of metal such as heavy metal, black metal, groove metal, viking metal etc etc etc!. The reason your father says Heavy Metal is Metal is because it is the most generic Metal genre!. In other words, your friends is right :)Www@Enter-QA@Com
