What is a sub genre in rock music that you just do not like!? What are some bands that are liked here that you just don't enjoy!?

Death Metal, I know lots of people love it but I am into music for the melodies and the lyrics and you really lose that in all the screaming!.

I'm sort of with you!. I liked the Allman Brothers when Duane was still alive, and I liked AC/DC's pre-Dirty Deeds stuff!. Skynyrd has some good guitar, but their attitude sucks!.
I also agree with Beatles Girl, and as far as metal goes, the term "heavy" belongs with 60's rock and the "progressive" era that lasted into the 70's!. Metal is tolerable in small doses, just like punk and "alternative," but statements can be made without sacrificing the quality and inventiveness of the music!. As soon as it all starts sounding the same, something's fugged up, pardon my avatar!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I don't like really hardcore metal!. I mean, I respect the musicians and everything, but the sound just isn't for me!. But I can't really think of a single genre that I hate unconditionally!.

i like some indie, and i hate some!.!.!.some i'm just neutral!.
i also hate death metal, screamo, and emo!.!.!.is emo even rock!? not to mention poser rock!. that isn't a genre but i'll just say i hate poser rock!.
other than that, i like most other sub genres

Well a Sub Genre of rock I don't really like would have to be Hair Metal!.!.!. I mean that is a subgenre right!? I think it was horrible and I am glad Grunge killed it!. I cant say I am particularly fond of Death/Black Metal either!.!.!.!. most soft rock sucks too!.

I don't like crappy Sceamo/Metalcore/Emo/Pop-rock/Pop-Punk/ or any other genre that type of music can fall under!.

Well, I don't really like metal!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.the only metal band I listen to is Metallica!.!.!.!.that's pretty much it!. It's just too heavy for me, but I respect it!.

I haven't really found a subgenre that I don't like!. Every genre of music is good in it's own way and I like them all to a certain extent!.

I tend to shy away from pop-rock, it's just not my thing!. (though I make a few exceptions) As for bands, I've never been a fan of Van Halen, I can't get into them!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
