This is rediculous!.!.Snoop Dogg is going to be nominated for a video award at the CMT Awards!! SNOOP DOGG!! The dude is freaking gangster and who in the hell is letting him in to country music!! I thought the Taylor Swift crap was bad enough but SNOOP DOGG!! This really makes me believ that it's not about musical talent or the song anymore it's all about the money !.!.!.It has to be!.!.!.All these pop artists are coming in and now rap!? Hip Hop Artists!.!.!.!.!. Or like Darius Rucker!.!.!.It doesn't bother me as much until I see all thier videos and hear their songs on radio all the time!!!.!.!.It's sad cuz they're basically taking away the music true country fans love!.!. Country Music is not Country Music anymore, Country Music today is full of pop, R&B, and now some rap artists!. Hardly any of these people grew up in the country, and know anything at all about it!. They've never worked in the fields planting crops, probably never helped the neighbors clear land, or raise live stock!. Me and all the folks I live around do this, it is a way of life!. Country Music use to reflect that life, now though, it full of imposters!. I listen more to my CD's like Don Williams, George Strait, Chris LeDoux people who were actually country!. The radios just play city people like Taylor Swift or Keith Urban or folks like that!. It's sad that such a wonderful genre of music, full of great storytellers and singers has become corrupted by the "Almighty Dollar"!. It's true what George Strait and Alan Jackson said "Someone commited Murder on Music Row"!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Traditional/classic country music was killed in the 90's!.
Noe Alternative,progressive,pop country have took over!.The sounds are nowhere close to the 50's-60's-70's-80's country music!.
Grant it there are some decent and good songs but to call it "traditional" country is not doing justice to the past singers!.
Grant it during the "outlaw" movement of the 70's people called it radical,but the established singers started to sing this type music and it was accepted!.But today there are no traditional singers performing the newer style music!.

Well think what you want to think but i think Darius Rucker's songs are very country!. Taylor Swift is very popular her songs tell stories like many COUNTRY songs do!. I love all kinds of country music from Hank Williams, Willie Nelson, and Merle Haggard to Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, and Taylor Swift!.

I agree! Jessica Simpson's country song bugs me more than anything else! Just because you look good in cowboy boots doesn't mean you should start singing country songs!. I pretty much gave up on the music coming out of Nashville!. They are only concerned with making as much money as possible!. If that means selling out, then so be it!. There are still a lot of good artists out there you just have to try and find them!. Texas still is producing awesome country music!. I found a lot of great artists through myspace, I try not to get my feathers ruffled as much as I used to because there's nothing we can do about it!. I just buy and support the artists I feel need and deserve the credit!. And as far as Snoop goes, did you know he's not the only rapper who's taking a shot at the country crowd!. I can't stand Snoop Dogg--or any rap for that matter!. I also can't stand Taylor Swift and, plus, she's 100% pop!. Just because you add fiddle and banjo to a song, it doesn't make it country!. I also hate most crossover acts--Jewel and Jessica Simpson especially!. As for Darius Rucker, I think his country album is really good--especially for today's standards of country music!.
