Do you agree that Dora the Explorer is extremely "bossy" and "pus!
Question: Yes! She's one Bossy little Spaniard! I grudgingly watch it every morning, with my 3 and 5 year old Kids.......
To make matters worse, her monkey sidekick Boots, has to mimic, and repeat, everything she says....Once is enough already!!! :-)
Whenever "Dora the Dictator" gives an order, or asks if the people at home if they will help her with something in her mission, or, when she asks the audience a Yes or No question, I like to poke fun at Dora & have a bit of fun with my Kids. This is what I do-
I sit there and wind my 3 year old son up, by shouting "No! Sorry Dora. Can't help you today" in response to all of her questions (you could call them her orders instead ! LOL...)
The Dora theme song is irritating too, because it is so unbelievably catchy! Still, much to my Kids dismay, I find myself singing it at the top of my lungs, without even realising it...(- :
"Dora, Dora, Dora, the explorer.....", that is, until my singing is cut short by my kids interrupting telling me to "Shhhhh! so they can hear the show! I pretend to stop singing, and then shortly after I break into song again, they get annoyed, jumping up and down, so I stop, only to start singing again, they shout at me again to quieten down, and again I stop, only to once more
break into song, and the cycle continues until the Kids and I finally end up in fits of Giggles on the floor! ( :
Then, for the rest of the day, that darn tune gets stuck in my head.
Heres my equation to descibe Dora and Boots:
"Dora the Orderer" + "Bossy" Boots" the = a pair of "BOSSY BOOTS!" Get it?
I know....sorry, my jokes are worse than getting bossed around by a cartoon character......Oops! There it goes again....thanks very much for mentioning Dora, and setting off the song in my head! (only jokes) (-:

She's an Aries.
YES! She's always telling the kids what to do!My little cousin hates it and says no to her on the screen!
i hate dora the explorer with a passion, i refuse to let my kids watch her.
Wow, I never really thought about her as extremely "bossy" and "pushy because my granddaughter loves her. BUT....I bought a new V Tech toy for her that takes cartridges and I bought the Dora the Explorer one and tried it to see if I thought she could handle it. She truly is a bossy little thing. She's either in charge or it's now way but the high way.
I think they need to give her a personality makeover and take out some of her quirks!!!
My granddaughter will be a year this month so she really doesn't know what's going on anyway. I think she likes the colors.
