we bought a heater (u know, those separate ones) and i just sit in front of it. it feels soooo good and warm

im from the UK but right now im in switzerland and im worse than freezing
the only thing i can do is sit in fromt of the fireplace and sip a cup of hot steaming coffee mmmmmmmmmmm

I just put some warm clothes on, I hate too much central heating.
Put another layer on. Don't use the heating unless you absolutely need to.
Get a nice cuppa tea.
I'm having a duvet day, so I'm pretty cosy :)

I am freezin too.It depends,if i'm on me own heating goes on full blast.If my boyfriends around i just wear more jumpers.He always complains he's too hot! Ha funny enough we had that debate this morning.Lots of warm drinks too,that keeps me warm.keep Smiling!

I agree, it's quite chilly. Another layer of clothes is a cheaper way of keeping warm, as is making sure there are no draughts by keeping (interior as well as exterior) doors and windows shut. Then there is always the 'blankie' - a nice cosy fleece blanket or similar which you can wrap round you if you're sitting still for any length of time! The Japanese have a great way of keeping warm in the home - a low table with a heater fixed underneath standing on a quilt and covered by another quilt. You sit on the lower quilt, tuck your legs under the other one, and bask in the heat - wonderful!
its not cold we had-3 last night.fresh air is what you want not stuffy hot houses.walked my dogs at 6am like every day 5 miles in the crispy air .

I've had the heating on for about a week straight. I'ts absolutely freezing .....
You are right it's cold. I looked at all the answers to see if i can learn some tips but not yet so I'll keep an eye on it.
Oh well done for spotting it's cold today. I personally was expecting a heatwave here in London, just like we always get in the middle of November but instead, I've had to put the heating on. So much for global warming - it really can't be relied on! ! !
yeah it is really cold and i have a chill layer of clothes is better !heating dry's out ur skin and makes u sleepy!if u do put it on 20 should b the highest heat to keep u alert!
