Once You Read a Book, Do You Ever Start Talking Like One of the Characters?!
Question: I'm just curious...
Answers: I'm just curious...
Yes; after i read Harry Potter 1-7, I started yelling spells, and I also waved my ruler while doing it xD
It made everybody laugh :)
no?
No but its an interesting idea, I'll give it a try!!
i start feeling like i AM the character, analyzing things from their point of view.. and when the book is over i get upset that there's not more left.
yes, it's lots of fun. Especially when you read a Western one week and sherlock holmes the next. It keeps people guessing.
no
as smart as Ignatius Reilly is in confederacy of dunces i wouldn't want to talk OR look like him
No, but I do with movies
Yeah I have! I was reading this book about this teenage girl and her royal family (The Princess Diaries) and I started to talk like her and try to picture my life like her's even inheriting a princess-like attitude lol. =] x
ummm i make differnt voices for the characters when i read to my son
If I really like the book that I will. I like to quote Mr.Darcy and Elizabeth from Pride and Prejudice.
no but after I watched Sweeney Todd, I started to take on a Mrs Lovett accent...
nope lol.
Yes. Not a lot but i have once before. It was right after i read American Gothic (awesome book!). I started talking like the guy who was killing everyone. People thought i was strange but oh well lol
In my head yeah haha, just to get into the scene. When i start reading a book im at it until i've read it. I like to be on my own in my mind and doing what the characters are doing and watching them. I can see it in my mind. I love reading
Lol, sometimes!
more likely to start writing a little like them, though a few phrases may slide in my speech.
nope.
couse if i did it , then i would be speaking differently every second day. lol
(i read a lot )
well not like that but i start talking like themand that so weird! lol!
