What it's known as: "Motor Murder City". From what I've heard, Detroit is a really BAD place to live!
The 3 major vehicle manufacturers are there (Ford, GM & Chrysler), and they've had the one of the highest rates of murder of any city in the US for many years! Hence, the nickname!

Well I've heard a lot of bad things about Detroit. I've known a few people who are from their and they don't give the city any respect at all. But I've never been, so I can't really give a honest opinion.
