I am planning on becoming an axe weilding maniac?!

Question: Are there any particular brand names of axes that are better than others. I don't want to have to keep buying a new one every third kill or so!

i have my own blade sharpner that we can share if you would like to visit, dont tell any one you are coming they just may not understand.

They're Cheaper By The Dozen....!!

Most axes are good, except for the ACME brand ones. Also, if I were you, I'd invest in an axe sharpener.

hey, do you live on Elm Street?

Coleman axes have a very sharp edge.

May I suggest your prey be people that have feet fetishes? >:)
I might come shopping with you...I need a good axe myself...and a new scythe.

I believe that the recently launched 'Skull-Splitter' axes are very good. They have a drainage channel in the handle so your hands don't get sticky. ;o)

I don't know personally. I would strongly recommend checking "Consumer Reports"; they are very fair and honest in their ratings.

I think you just need to keep them sharpened. I would invest in something to keep them nice and sharp.

well good luck with it

I have a sears, best axe I have ever owned,
Only had to replace the head once and the handle three times.

Keep a small file in your pocket for touch-ups, you can't always run home to the grinder to sharpen during the busy season.

added later: looking down the line at serenity's answer, I thought it said get a HUBBY, that scared me lol.

I think a machete is much better, lighter and easier to use!

use a chainsaw, some have a lifetime warranty

Craftsman

U GO GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont know but dont go for a too heavy one you get tired fast

Do you really have such an axe to grind? Ha ha. That pun sucked didn't it? Look for oak handles. They are stronger. You don't want to spend the rest of your life in jail do you? Just chop some wood or get a hobby. It's not worth it.......

Grow up, moron!

Sooo, your going to cut wood for a living? Great, I'll take two loads. But don't kill any live tree's because they don't burn like the seasoned wood in my fireplace. Thanks! Oh, I would use a RazorBack brand. Thats what I use.

Just sharpen in between, and you will be fine.

Buy a Craftsman, you can never go wrong with that brand name. I think this the brand that was used in the Borden household.

get a couple coalmen axes and a few axe sharpeners, youll save money and no one will no what ur doing
Past experience

Oh, man...you're gonna take my job huh? Either way, if this is how it's going to end...Whatever. I forge and grind my own heads. So, sorry, can't offer any advice. Hey do me a favor (there's a ten spot in it for you)...just make sure the POS is sharp.

Go with an ice pick. not only is it just as deadly but easier to conceal!

I can't remember the brand name, but I do know the ones they sell at Ace hardware work the best. I have used mine 11 times already and its still nice and sharp.

I would go with one like this, we use them all the time to get the ice off the windshield. They hold up good...

edit....... you don't want to be known as the "cheap killer", do you

What in the world?

U is crazy man!!!!!

I think you should buy a Craftsman - I think they are good!!!!

Your gonna get caught they always do, I would stop while I was ahead and by all means don't tell any one else! Ya goofus
