Have you had cancer?!
Question: It seems like so many people have had cancer these days. Just curious if anyone on here has? If so, when and what kind?

Yes. I was scheduled to retire in June 2007 so I made certain all my health issues were taken care of through my work insurance, before i left.
My last day of work, I left the office about 1:00, and at 3:00 my Dr. called with some good "news/bad news." My tests revealed that I had Prostate Cancer, but that it was in it's early stages. "Some retirement," I was thinking.
My immediate reaction was anger. Dr. gave me the options, but mine was to immediatley remove the Prostate.
I searched the web and found a newer procedure that was no where near as invasive as standard surgery with far better long term results.
So I found a Dr. in the Atlanta area who had performed 300 of the surgeries, did all my pre-ops here in Arkansas and mailed or faxed my results, made an appointment and by July 23rd, I had surgery and flew back home.
All is well and I fell great !
yeah
i don`t know , i had a CIN 2 smear (whatever that meant) 19 years ago and i received coagulation treatment and i have to have pap smears every 2 years ..
Yes. I was diagnosed with skin cancer about 5 years ago. Nothing too serious, but still the C word.
No not yet but I know it's coming. Like you said, everyone's getting it now days. All of my neighbors has had it.
No and i hope to God i never do
no.
no not that I know of
no, but i support people who do.
no my friend did though and very scary as she dies. Scares me as even the most healthiest people get it so you never know! And 1 in 3 people get cancer its so bad! I run for the race of life to raise money for cancer but sadly I think it will be around for a very long time
No my cousin had skin cancer in her leg they have removed it and she seems to be ok now xx
not yet but i personally think it will get me because everyone in my family that has died has died of cancer of one form or another
Nope
there is a lot in my family, my mum died of leukaemia, my aunt of breast cancer, nan have bowel cancer, my sister has had lumps removed, and i have just had an op to remove suspicious things from my womb, i think it is just bad luck that so much is in a family (that's what they keep telling us anyway) we have also had a few friends die of cancers so for me it is just part of life, i just hope none of it passes on to my children. hope you have a great day best of luck.
My granf had skin cancer last year. Had a scab on his face for about 10 years. Only had it checked when a locum doctor suggested it was tested. Had it removed and is fine.
No!!! I hope I will never have it!
