NO WAY!!!! I was a teacher and had to pursue another job because the bills were never paid on time ... Very sad, because being a teacher was my dream job and I loved the kids and enjoyed going to work everyday
I was stuck between a rock and a hard place ... I am now an Administrative Assistant ((Yawn)) .. pays the bills but leaves my heart empty :(

No I don't. Where I live teachers only get paid 30,000 a year. I personally think the minimum teachers should get paid is 40,000.
no. they have to put up with too much **** for what they get paid. Unless youre a college professor with a masters. Then youre getting paid well
In Ireland they are anyway...the teacher's in my school are being paid 20 euro and hour!!!

honestly no. for all the work teachers do outside of school no. my teacher gave us a 140 point Grammar test in english and it took him hours outside of what he gets paid for to correct them. i personally think teachers should be paid more than most workers out there. most jobs once you punch out you are done with work and you can pick up what you were doing the next day but not with teachers they take their work home
No - are you kidding. I don't think anyone is answering because the answer is so obvious. We are starving our teachers and our school system and the effects can be seen in the mediocre education that often results.
There are many teachers doing amazing work, many students learning a lot...but I know many teachers that quit cause they just couldn't make ends meet. sad really.
NOT at all. The work hard with many bad students and many good ones. They teach kids great things.

No, they are way underpaid. It is so bad that some teachers even have to buy supplies for teaching with their own money, when it should be provided by the school.
