Home, always!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

they should not even bother making another season, i was hoping they will prove that american idol is not "cooked" but after today they totally proved it!. i would rather watch barney!.!.!.!.!. lol!.!.!.!.!. but i know archuleta will have a long and lasting career, not just 15 minutes of fame!. plus american idol is not a talent competition it is a popularity contest which is decided by votes!. if this is the olympics, all of america's athletes will win gold medals!. america got it wrong AGAIN!. cooks win is a cover up for the daughtry mistake they did!.

we all know who REALLY did very good on the performance, america saw it all, were all witnesses to archuleta's great talent, he's a prodigy!. plus the producers are worried about their lower ratings, a wrong move for them because ALOT of idol fans will surely not watch it gain, including me!. this is the first time i really got addicted to american idol, but they gave me a reason to hate and not watch them!.

thinks America got it wrong:

David Cook voted 'American Idol' winner

David Cook
The yowling rocker trumped the sensitive balladeer as this year's "American Idol!."
Grunge-voiced David Cook took the prize over his twinkly-eyed rival, David Archuleta!.
In a sense, his victory came as a significant surprise!. Cook walked into Wednesday night's show with a major disadvantage!. Rough judge Simon Cowell practically anointed Archuleta the winner at Tuesday night's final performances, saying his singing scored a "knockout" against Cook!.
While bookies were split on which David would triumph, some observers speculated that the super-cute Archuleta had a leg up because his fan base skews heavily toward screamy teens, a segment especially savvy in the ways of phone voting!.
Countertheories favored Cook, surmising that he draws from a wider demographic, embracing both young and old!.
Either way, the battle between Archuleta and Cook represented one of the most stark contrasts in styles and sensibilities in the history of "American Idol!."
Even that drama did little for ratings!. Although "Idol" remains the the most-watched show in television by several million, average viewership was down from a peak of 26 million to about 21 million this year!. Cowell himself has called this year's contestants "too safe!." Certainly, he couldn't call the top candidates too similar!.
The younger David specializes in soft songs of sentimentality!. The elder favors bolder rock flourishes, especially as contained in hand-me-down grunge ballads!. Archuleta stresses sincerity, Cook bravado!.
The former epitomizes innocence, the latter, if not exactly experience, than at least a suggestion of adult awareness!.
By contrast, the Mormon-born Archuleta seems almost startlingly free of experience!. He's like a human Bambi, immune to cynicism and open to faith in nearly anything!. Such a pristine character made Archuleta a perfect vehicle for the kind of idealized ballads he favored week in and week out!. Who else could take a flogged-to-death war-horse like John Lennon's "Imagine" and make it seem (nearly) new!?
Archuleta owns a far more individual voice than winner Cook!. The older singer sounds just like any number of mainstream rock singers in bands that wish they were Nirvana - from Nickelback to Daughtry!.
Though Cook had often been given credit for reinventing the arrangements of the songs he covered, some weren't as unusual as many thought!. His much-wowed-over rock take on Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" actually referenced an arrangement of the song created by ex-Soundgarden yowler Chris Cornell!.
Archuleta, though, boasts a subtle rasp to his sound that shades his more boyish tones and gives him a hint of soul!.
Archuleta also connects to his material in a more probing way, tapping into the darker well of feeling that his doll-like visage obscures!. In the end, he's both a better, and rarer, singer than Cook!. Which means that - at least in this election - American voters got it stone cold wrong!.

also, media realizes Cowell and Co!. are all about manipulating the results--see from NY Newsday

"And the other David!? The 17-year-old Utah native was the front-runner much of the season!. He stumbled during the Beatles rounds, but "Idol" -- cleverly -- never indicated that his votes were starting to tail behind Cook's, as they did (per bloggers) about five weeks ago!. On Tuesday's finale, he easily won the duel of the front-runners: He sang better, and with more passion, than Cook, but perhaps Simon Cowell's words should have served as a sign of things to come!. For years, Cowell's reputed get-out-the-vote strategy for his favorite has been to chastise the contestant he wants to win!. Why!? So that fans will be motivated to vote against Simon!.

Begs, of course, another question: Why would "Idol" and Cowell want David Cook as opposed to the equally gifted David Archuleta to win!? Perhaps because "Idol" and its record producing sibling, 19 Entertainment, simply believe David Cook will sell more records in the long run!. (also, Archuleta's father, Jeffrey, was considered difficult and a meddling backstage dad -- not fun as a potential partner!.)"
