A million years ago when I was 15, my Geometry teacher
must've used "There's" when referring to plural elements
at least a dozen times per classhour!.
My blood boiled THEN, over just that!
Same year, when I asked a school "administrator" about
the apostrophe in the painted letters "BOY'S"
(as seen just above a hallway restroom),
she answered as though I'd asked her the time with,
"It's there because it's for boys!."
I was beside myself with nail-spitting rage!.
So, does this answer!?
*While we're here, definitely read "Eats, Shoots, & Leaves"
by author Lynne Truss!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
