Could be interference... or it could be breaking. What are you doing to it (i.e. are you moving it around, hitting it with a hammer, pouring Mountain Dew on it à la Homestar Runner, etc.)? :-D

Could be the weather if it's sudden. But to be sure double check your antenna. 90% of problems such as this are antenna related.
