I don't have that problem... I have Sirius Satellite and I listen to either Margaritaville or the Acoustic music.
I agree! I love music that people can relate to with, good, understandable lyrics! All this "booty clappy'' music is annoying! Dont get me wrong I like it sometimes, like at dances and stuff.. but when I want to listen to the radio that is not the only thing I want to listen to!!!
i do agree with you in that aspect, when i was growing up as a middle schooler you would never hear curse words on the radio like *** and ***** but now its all too common...take the joy out of listening to the radio when you're enjoying some down time in your room or when you know you're gonna be on the road for a while

Taking clips from prior music hits is neither cutting edge or original. We have Sirius also and for the most part we listen to radio Disney because of the kiddies.
That's one of the reasons I turned to country music. That and the fact that I can understand what they're singing.
It doesn't hurt that many of the female singers are beautiful, either.
Give "Country" a try. Today's Country is more of a Country Rock. Some really cute, some very funny stories in those songs. Not sex, drugs etc....
Give it a listen to for about a week, you might be pleasantly surprised. (then, if you give me "Best Answer", I'll know you're likin' it. Trust Me.)

That's a big part of the reason I got SIRIUS. Lots of all-talk choices as well as theme stations like all '80s and all '70s when music was not so objectionable.
i know what you mean! i hate it too. but thats why i just keep a lot different radio stations preset. i don't mind if its about a romantic thing, but if the artist is degrading people and making unneccesary comments about sex, then its out of hand. hope you find a better station!

There's only so far a terrestrial radio station can go during certain hours of the day and never on some material (that's AM & FM). So I don't understand why you don't just change the channel?

frankly, i dont care. i can always find a song out of just about every genre that i can enjoy. i'll give you this much... some of them do go a little overboard.
You have two options.
1. Use the tuning button and change the station.
2. Turn off radio.
I can't believe that every station you are listening to on your radio in your market is playing songs with "obscene" lyrics 24 hours of the day.
In the radio business, it's called safe harbor. Radio stations are only allowed to play content that contains more adult language only during certain hours...at night.
If you don't like it, then why are you listening to it? The only way you know it's there is if you heard it and listened to it for a little while at least.
