FM radio? poor signal?!
Question: FM radio!? poor signal!?
i have a stereo in my room a very good system in my opinion it has great reception downstairs no matter what station i turned it too!.!.!. but in my room upstairs my favorite station which comes in prfectly downstairs comes in all staticy i think there is something in my walls blocking me from getting a good signal!.!.!. my second favorite station comes in pretty good so idk, my main point is whats a cheap easy diy way to boost the reception that my stereo gets so it can go through w/e is in my walls!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

I was having trouble receiving some stations on my stereo, so I went to radio shack, & bought a good fm antenna!. They do not cost that much, & it really helped me!!!!Www@Enter-QA@Com
Good answers!. There is foil-backed insulation in your ceiling which may be contrbuting to the problem, or if you have a metal roof or other equipment (like an A/C air handler) is installed near your room that could be it!. It's more important where the antenna is, than where the stereo is (unless of course the antenna is built-in and not accessible)!.
You might try attaching a long piece of wire to the FM antenna that comes with your stereo and hang it out the window! Seriously - that'd be the cheapest/easiest!. Your FM antenna may just be a round metal thingy that screws into the back of the set!. Where it screws in is where any replacements should go!.

1) Go to your local Radio Shack for a high-gain indoor FM antenna or an amplified antenna!. The folks there should have several affordable options that would work well for you!.
2) Set up your antenna downstairs where the reception is good, and run a cable from there to your stereo upstairs!. Here again, Radio Shack should be able to get you set up with the right stuff!.
