Bob disappeared after the fifth season. His absence was explained by Jake in the Season 6 premiere episode in which Jake claimed he went on a vacation. He was never referred to again. (The reason Bob was taken out of the show was because Saverio Guerra decided not to renew his contract for the 5th and 6th season.)
