Monty Python fans: What American TV shows or stand-up comedians in past 10 years!

Question:

Monty Python fans: What American TV shows or stand-up comedians in past 10 years do you find funny?

Looking for a new show or comedian. I was a HUGE Python fan but the only shows I’ve seen I think are consistently funny are cartoons (Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Simpsons, Ren and Stimpy, Spongebob, Spaceghost) or a couple "regular" shows: Curb Your Enthusiasm & Seinfeld. I'd also add Letterman, Conan O’Brien, Jim Gaffigan. But am I missing a great show/comedian?

Please - if you don't think these are funny chances are we don't have the same sense of humor (e.g., Friends!)

Answers: I'm a Python fan for sure. Besides the shows you mentioned, I like The Office and My Name Is Earl.
Most Comedies on network television are lame. Are you looking for more recent comedians? Jeff Dunham is one of my personal faves, especially when he uses his puppets like Jose Jalapeno or Peanut. I also like Dave Attell...very dark humor which is similar at times to the British humor and very dry. You might also like Lisa Lampanelli...very in-your-face.

As far as TV shows..."Mind of Mencia" and reruns of "Chappelle's Show" come to mind.

Oldschool comics...you can't go wrong with guys like Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, Richard Jeni, Sam Kinison, or George Carlin.
