I don't think so. The show is about the struggle as surgeons to separate home life and work life. That's why the opening credits have the red sexy shoes in the OR. It's the struggle to remain human.
And to do that they need to see the home life.
Private Practice with Addison is about perfecting the home life because their professional lives are great, and Grey's is the opposite.
