I think that it is Season 4 Episode 5 THE ONE WITH JOEY'S NEW GIRLFRIEND. Ross and Rachel are each trying to impress the other with their new significant others, and when Monica rats them out, Ross does the fist thing and then Monica explains to Rachel.
I cant exactly remember which one it is, but I know for sure it has been used more than ones. I would say it is somewhere it the middle of the series.
It first shows up in season 4, episode 5. It's after ross and rachel broke up and they are both dating other people and trying ot rub it in eachother's faces
