Question: I don't remember the product but it has to do with a guy not getting sleep and the characters in his dreams, Abe Lincoln, a beaver, and a deep-sea diver, miss him. I understand the beaver but who dreams about a dead president and a diver? Shouldn't this commercial have had three women in bikinis?

It was a prescription drug commercial, undoubtedly created by drug users.
It is ironic, I think, that we work so hard to stop pop culture drug use, but TV commercials for drugs are becoming more frequent.
Why should patients watch commercials for drugs. Can we self prescribe?
The Viagra commercials are getting weird.
They talk gibberish, then their eyes go wide at the word Viagra.
I contend that any sentence with Viagra in it, is automatically funny,

i think the diver is part of his dreams, just like lincoln and the beaver, its a weired commercial.
I've seen that commercial too---but it obviously didn't get the point across as intended, because neither of us can recall what the commercial was for.........

Why not? I've had dreams about famous people before. People dream about all kinds of stuff. In any case, the objective of the commercial wasn't to be realistic, but rather to be humorous.
O to be so young that all the dreams had "three women in bikinis", but sadly dreams are not always of what you enjoy. The key is to market to both genders and leave little questions, just like you are asking. Beside having tried diving there is something refreshing and poetic about floating free in water and dreaming.
How do you understand the beaver? It is the one thing that escapes me in the commercial.
THE COMMERCIAL WAS TO SELL MEDS . SO THE GUY COULD GET TO SLEEP AND DREAM . BUT IF THAT WAS ALL I DREAMED ABOUT THEN I WOULDN'T CARE IF I SLEPT OR NOT . A WHOLE BUNCH OF COMMERCIALS TODAY ARE TOTALLY RETARDED WANTING YOU TO GO ASK FOR MORE MEDS.
