ummm are you a robot or what? if you are a human its because u have nerves... Duh!
if you didn't feel pain you would have a disease called CIPA. it's congenital insensitivity to pain and very rare. you would have to set a watch to tell yourself to pee and check for bruises constantly and temperature and ... yeah it would suck. plus, no pain = no pleasure.
of course that's physical pain. if you were insensitive to emotional pain that would be called apathetic and you wouldn't be human. everyone feels pain sometimes.

To cause you a quick reaction to it and take evasive or corrective action.
Cuz then you wouldn't know if you wereto burn yourself or if something was wrong physically. But, I too could live without it providing they came up with another way to sense these things. I don't have much of a pain threshold, I'm afraid.
