What is your favorite old style type of comedian from black and white TV days?!
Question: My money is on the 3 Stooges, specifically, Curley. He was not just slap-stick comedy. He used puns too. Puns are the lowest form of humor, but the highest form of wit. He was just a misunderstood but hugely funny guy.

Lucille Ball. She was BRILLIANT, and so versatile.
The Stooges are classic, but remember, Curley was part of a team - without Moe and Larry to play off, he wouldn't be as good.
Check out some Sid Caesar and Steve Allen. Those guys could do physical AND mental ... with and comedy. Steve is gone, but Sid can still ROCK the comedy.
Definitely The Honeymooners..."to the Moon, Alice, to the Moon! Bang Zoom"
Jackie Gleason.... even after black and white he was funny
Lucille Ball....
Danny Kaye

I quite love George Burns and Gracie Allen. They had a sense of comic timing that was unequaled. George played the semi-chauvenistic character and Gracie the naive, gullible character; however, it was always Gracie that got the better of George proving that she was indeed the funnier of the two.
red skelton, Jackie Gleason- then came George Carlin, laugh-in and then Roseanne Barr, Wonda Sykes!!! funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm not sure about B&W, but my all time favorite comedian was Red Skelton.
