Answers: i hope not cuz i heard he had a storke in real life?

is that true?

No he's not. He had a stroke in real-life so this plot was written into the storyline to explain his absence. Dot makes regular visits to him as part of her current role and is often on the phone to his daughter Carol for updates on his wellbeing.

Quote:
On 14 June 2007, Bardon was admitted to hospital after suffering a stroke. In November 2007, it was reported that he was making steady progress, when he opened a new stroke ward at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in Welwyn Garden City. However, wheelchair-bound Bardon is still suffering from poor speech and consequently has no plans to return to EastEnders in the foreseeable future, although his wife has said there is still a possibility he may one day return.

Hope this helps.

I heard he has died in real life, not sure though don't quote me on it, i hope not, he was lovely x x

He had a stroke in real life and the story has been written into eastenders. He is in a nursing home in EE and Dot makes regular trips to see him.

errr im not sure whether to laugh or not! incasse he realy is dead

No I don't think so - I read recently that he was making good progress so who knows he might be back!

Not as far as i know - Dot's still visiting him in hospital.

The actor John Bardon who plays Jim had a real life stroke six months ago and he has been out of the soap since, doctors had said that he might not be able to walk again but he has defyed them and he walked a few steps a few days ago he is making a miracalous recovery and will hopefully be back in the soap sometime next year. He is currently in his sisters Carols house in EE. Dot goes to see him every now and again.

Ay moment he is converlesing and recovering both on show and in real life I doubt that he will be back in the soap myself as it would take a long time to recover from.
